Aviation fuels were added to our business in 2014 to expand and strengthen our services to remote and regional areas. We operate several refuelling facilities in rural and regional airports and deliver bulk aviation fuels to our customers’ sites.
The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint an Account Manager - Key Accounts in Brisbane, based out of our new multi-functional site at Radar Street, Lytton. The purpose or the Account Manager – Key Accounts (Aviation) is to retain existing major accounts and to build customer relationships. You will become a strategic partner and source new opportunities with those major accounts. In addition, you will:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within existing major accounts
- Acquire a thorough understanding of the needs and requirements of customers and expand the relationships by continuously proposing solutions to meet their requirements
- Facilitate meetings with Key Accounts to align requirements
- Ensure the required processes are in place for the sharing of information between IOR and the customer to facilitate effective communication and reporting, required to meet contractual agreements where they are required
- Provide leadership and manage the formation of key components of contracts by engaging with relevant internal stakeholders
- Prepare tender documentation for existing renewals and new opportunities, ensuring a focus on specific value add solutions and engagement with relevant internal divisions
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of IOR product offerings and capabilities as well as those of our major market competitors
- Manage and/or assist with both large and small projects as assigned
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a Business Development and Key Account management role within high-value and complex customer environments
- Exceptional sales process and negotiation skills to design and deliver fuel requirements with sound commercial outcomes
- Ability to establish, develop and expand upon key relationships at all levels within the customer organisation
- Knowledge of downstream fuel sales, distribution, fuel management systems and liquid storage solutions
- Proven experience in Key Account management role in a similar environment
- Degree qualification in Business, Commerce or Marketing is ideal
