Our client, a large organisation in Newcastle, are looking for an Accountant to join their team. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and development, the leadership within this team are second to none.
The Position:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accountant will play an integral part into ensuring the business runs smoothly. You will be responsible for analysing financial information to support business decisions, including but not limited to:
- Preparing regular financial reports
- Prepare and lodge EOM statements and reports
- Full control of balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain the fixed asset register
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations
- Prepare and lodge BAS
- Assist junior Accountants when required
- Assist with audit procedures as required
- The successful candidate will be an avid number cruncher with a keen eye for detail
- You will have proven Financial Accounting experience
- You will be degree qualified, and working towards a CA/CPA qualification
- We are seeking someone who has strong Excel skills, and will openly communicate with all part of the business. You will want to collaborate, investigate and show up for your team
