Accountant

• $80k - $90k Package
• Close knit team - all working from home

My client is a 2 Partner accounting firm, specialising in providing businesses and family groups with effective and high-quality accounting solutions. They offer a range of services including tax/compliance, tax planning, consulting and business structuring. They service a broad client base across professional services, medical, IT, wholesale/retail, construction, and engineering to name a few.
Since Covid, the Partners have decided to remain as a remote-first business, and are passionate about creating a family friendly, flexible culture with a strong sense of work/life balance for their team. As such, they are a completely cloud-based and paperless office, with almost all clients using XERO.
You will have key responsibilities which will include:

• Preparing financial reports for various entities
• Preparing tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts
• Processing BAS, IAS and FBT for clients
• Assist with tax planning and projects
• Liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies
• Liaising with clients regarding compliance matters

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 4 years' Business Services/Public Practice experience and ideally be CA or CPA studying or qualified. Strong communication skills are also essential as this role is client facing.
