Position Overview:
As an Accountant at Cannatrek, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organisation. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Assist with tax preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CA certification preferred
4 + years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
