Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Accountant to join our team based in our Support Services office in Fremantle. This role will be responsible for the development, maintenance and production of accurate financial information relating to the production of pork from our Linley Valley Operations.

Key responsibilities 

• Provide weekly financial reports on our processing and sales activities and work closely with the financial team to produce month end reports and forecasts within established deadlines. 
• Support the operational team with financial analysis on operational performance as required.
• Assist in updating forecasts for financial planning purposes. 
• Monitor progress of capital projects against budgets and develop reports to communicate to executive. 
• Help the business develop reporting capabilities which are consistent with an industry leading manufacturing business.
• Provide strong commercial support to the team measure the impact of changes in input costs to product profitability.
• Ensure stock is always accurately recorded and visibility is provided to all stakeholders. 

About you  

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience 
• CA/CPA (or international equivalent) 
• Advanced IT and excel skills 
• Technical and analytical ability
• Active attention to detail and strong communication skills 
• Collaboration skills to work both independently and in a team
• Experience in Agriculture and/or food processing – desirable
