Accountant

CCIC Mineral (Australia) Pty Ltd, a division of China Certification & Inspection (Group) Co., is seeking an experienced accountant to join our team and provide support to management. Initially, the position will be part-time, with the potential for extending to full-time employment.

key Responsibilities:
• Managing monthly transactional accounting tasks such as Account Receivable, Account Payable, and General Ledger entries
• Leading monthly and year-end closings processes
• Preparation of tax returns
• Compiling balance sheet reconciliations and following up outstanding items with relevant stakeholders
• Recording and managing capital assets on the fixed asset registers
• Conducting transactional banking in accordance with group policies and procedures
• Generating financial reports for both management and statutory accounts
• Assisting in the Group’s internal and external audit
• Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations under relevant laws and regulations
• Play a pivotal role in special projects as needed

Required Skills:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is advantageous but not essential 
• Qualification in accounting or a related discipline. Working towards obtaining CA / CPA or equivalent certification is advantageous but not essential
• Proficiency in general ledger functions and the month/year end close process
• Ability to excel under tight deadlines, with strong task prioritization skills
• Effective interpersonal abilities, facilitating collaboration across teams
• Must possess full working rights in Australia
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential
