Our client, a company located in Ormeau Hills, Queensland is actively operating since 2016 starting out as a family business with two brothers as co-founders. Catering to both residential and commercial sectors, the company carries out work in and around the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and other Queensland areas. The company provides interior and exterior painting services for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in the financial management and integrity of the company's operations. This role will involve ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely submission of tax returns and other compliance reports.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the company's annual budget.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for cost reduction. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee the management of all payments and invoices.
- Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors and ensure all required documentation is available.
- Payroll: Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
- Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to align financial management with short and longterm company objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
- Australian citizens and permanent residents encouraged to apply
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
