About the Role 

The core purpose of this role is to assist with the accounting and administration functions of the Club, critical to overall financial control and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Completion of end to end processing and monthly reporting for the Club’s Customer Business units, including but not limited to Merchandise, Membership & Ticketing and Match Days
• Completion of month end and year end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, compliance and reporting
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and profit forecasting completion for a variety of Club departments
• Assisting in preparation and development of the weekly KPI dashboard reporting across the Club
• Supporting role in year-end procedures, including liaison with external auditors
• Assisting with the ongoing compliance of the Club’s internal control environment, including seeking continuous improvement of internal controls, policies, processes and procedures
• Ad hoc projects and analysis to support the Finance Manager
• Finance assistance at major Club events
• At all times adhere to Club guiding principles and Club policies

• Extensive use of Microsoft Office and hold intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• General knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Corporations Act rules and regulations

Qualifications

• Undergraduate commerce/business/accounting university degree
• 2-5 Years accounting experience
• Recently qualified or committed to obtaining a CA/CPA Qualification
