What we're looking for

We're seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented accountant to join the Rent Finance team.  This role will ideally be an all-rounder and is responsible for ensuring all month-end reconciliations, transactional duties such as payroll, accounts payable and banking transactions are accurately recorded and supporting the Financial Controller in preparation of management and board reports as well as helping with systems enhancement.  We are a small and dedicated team which means that you will have a wide range of exposure to different areas of the finance function. 

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly reports
• Preparation of fortnightly payroll and updating of payroll records
• Preparation of BAS, PAYG and superannuation reports
• Ensure timely AP invoices recording/review (DEXT) and payments 
• Preparation of expenses and revenue reports for stakeholders
• Preparation of invoicing and review of AR ageing
• Assist with the half year and full year audit processes
• Assist with R&D tax return preparation

Skills and experience

• Efficient and with an eye for detail
• Great communication skills
• Motivated by learning and improvement
• Experience in a similar role
• Studying towards a CPA/ CA qualification is highly regarded
• Experience with MYOB is preferable but not mandatory
