Accountant (Fixed Term Contract - 16 months)
Sydney, Australia
Role Overview:
To ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial and management reports reflecting revenue, profits, balance sheet and other reporting requirements. Business partnering and budget tracking with other business functions such as warehousing and logistics to provide insight and analysis.
Specific Duties Include:
- Performing activities associated with the preparation of financial reporting requirements to internal and external team members including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations and month-end reporting for SIE Aus/NZ
- Ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial and management reports reflecting revenue, profits, balance sheet and other reporting requirements submitted to SIEE
- Coordinating the preparation of draft annual budget for selling, and overhead expenses and monthly/quarterly re-forecasting
- Preparation of draft statutory reports and returns inc. GST, FBT and Company Tax
- Responsible for Inter-company Stock & Sales Reporting and reconciliation
- Responsible for tracking and billing of intricate inter-company recharges
- KPI and Gross Margin analysis and reporting (including customer and product profitability)
- Assist in planning and budgeting for additional retailer support
- Oversee retailer rebates, dispute settlements workings and account receivable reconciliations for traditional trade accounts
- Responsible for maintaining SAP master records including (but not limited to) pricing, rebates and discounts
- Continually evaluate and improve business processes and ensuring that the system is working as effectively and efficiently as possible across all aspects of the business
- Administration of assistance to users from the organisation regarding the use of functional SAP transactions and/or operational business processes
- Ad hoc reporting (internal and external)
What we're looking for:
- Professional Qualifications preferred
- 4-5 years accounting experience +
- Strong Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with people of all levels of the company
- SAP Experience highly preferred
