The Role
Reporting directly to the Group Reporting Manager, this role will play a critical role in the finance department. Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing guidance to management. Your expertise will contribute to the overall financial health and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the division EOM process and preparation of P&Ls for multiple entities with multiple clinics including full reconciliation of BS accounts and resolution of any variances;
- Maintain accuracy of the general ledger;
- Work closely with the GMs/RPs/CCSs to analyse, understand and explain monthly financial results and assist with their reporting;
- Prepare the quarterly dividend calculations for CCSs;
- Assist with various projects and business improvement initiatives;
- Assist with the year-end audit including working with external auditors;
- Review workpapers, journals and reports prepared by junior staff;
- Offer mentoring, support and coaching to junior staff;
- Ad hoc duties as required to support the wider team.
About you
Requirements:
- Degree in Commerce or Business with major in Accounting;
- CA/CPA qualified;
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial experience;
- Have a thorough understanding of Australian accounting and taxation systems;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment;
- Demonstrate a hands-on approach to an accounting role;
- Exceptional time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Excellent data accuracy, coupled with high attention to detail;
- Ability to adapt to new software programs; and
- Working rights in Australia.
