Accountant- Business Services / Tax

Boss Private Clients is a boutique accounting and advisory practice based in Melbourne's CBD. You will join a team of accounting professionals which have over 28 years of experience in the accounting profession, in acting for private clients.

About the role

This role is a hands-on position providing business advisory, accounting and taxation services to our clients. The role will offer client contact and various client related responsibilities as well as the challenges of working on a diverse client base.

Candidate key duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Preparation of annual financial statements and taxation returns for various entities.
• Preparing activity statements ad other compliance requirements for various entities including payroll tax and FBT.
• Monitor the compliance requirements performance of various clients.
• Correspondence with clients, ATO and other stakeholders regarding their taxation and commercial affairs.
• Provide assistance to the graduates in the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns. BAS's, IAS's and FBT returns.

The successful applicant must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• At least 1- 4 years Public Practice experience in public practice.
• Must be CA or CPA qualified or seeking to commence either program.
• Exposure to accounting programs such as APS, Myob AE, Xero, BGL 360, Microsoft Office will be highly regarded but not essential.
• Demonstrate accountability for the tasks performed on behalf of the company when reporting to management and the directors.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication, personal presentation and punctuality.
• Demonstrate effective problem solving skills and be highly service oriented.
• Be self- motivated, honest, and trustworthy.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a superior work ethic
