We are currently seeking a highly experience Accountant to complete a 6 month temp placement to support a national maintenance business.. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to support all aspects of reporting, forecasting and budgeting with a focus on payroll, monthly reconciliations and stock counts.
The role with consist of the following duties
- Month end journals, prepayments and accruals
- Accounting for payroll transactions
- ATO reporting including BAS / IAS
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cashflow analysis
Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Business
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including power query
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Logical and analytical thinker
- Self-starter that can network, accomplish tasks and deliver results.
- Demonstrated experience implementing process and system improvements in a similar environment
- Understanding and appreciation of inventory and stock management an advantage
