Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant who specializes in the NDIS space. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial management requirements specific to NDIS providers, including compliance with NDIS pricing arrangements and guidelines. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in formulating budget, projecting cash flows, and implementing accounting policies
· Prepare periodic financial statements and reports to present to the management and other stakeholders and advise on investment and other financial opportunities and risks
· Scrutinize the itemised profit and loss statements to identify and explain business performance in different areas of the business
· Oversee and monitor all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable and Payables, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
· Ensure the accuracy of information in financial reports and their compliance to regulatory requirements
· Prepare Business Activity Statements and Income Tax Return for the business
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
· Ensure compliance with NDIS financial guidelines and reporting requirements
· Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
· Provide financial analysis and guidance on profitability, revenue enhancement, and cost-saving opportunities
· Maintain accounting systems for accurate, compliant, and timely reporting
· Any other ad hoc responsibilities related to accounting and financial planning and management
Qualifications:
· At least bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Completed or enrolled in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
· Minimum 3 years accounting experience or at least 1 year preferably in the NDIS or similar sector.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial standards, and compliance requirements specific to NDIS.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
