AddressTrans Tasman Energy Group is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the financial activities of our Embedded Networks Energy Services division. The successful candidate will be pivotal in financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial analysis to support our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts, and manage month-end and year-end closings.
- Assist in budget development, monitor performance, and provide financial projections.
- Implement internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and assist in audits.
- Oversee invoice processing, payments, and manage cash flow.
- Prepare and file tax returns, coordinate with external tax advisors, and ensure timely tax payments.
- Optimize financial processes, implement new tools, and train staff.
- Provide financial insights for special projects and support management decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Knowledge of the Energy Industry is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks and compliance regulations.
