We have a full-time opportunity for an Accountant to specialise in individual, Trust, and Company Tax Returns within our Internal Finance team in Brisbane. In this role, you will work closely with a senior member of the BDO team and will have the responsibility for the following:
- Preparing Financial Reports in Xero
- Preparing Income Tax Returns
- Xero cashbook/ledger file set up including chart of accounts, bank feeds, bank reconciliation and end of year accounting journals
- Collate and record source data information accurately in client accounting system
- Reconcile Balance Sheet and P&L items with respective work papers
- Relevant Bookkeeping and/or Tertiary qualifications
- Working knowledge of cloud accounting platform Xero is essential
- 2+ years Tax Return preparation experience is mandatory
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to pick up new technology quickly
- Ideally, you’ll enjoy taking initiative and working autonomously to ensure work is completed to a high standard
