We are currently recruiting for an experienced accountant to join our well established finance team.
Working in Hobart in our Southern Regional Office and Bethlehem House, this role will be involved with the greater Society which includes a range of business units. This role reports to our Chief Finance Officer and is offered on a full time basis.
Essential Requirements
- Experienced and capable in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with end of month reporting and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability of preparing journals and performing reconciliations
- Ability to manage different cost centre reporting
- Previous experience in budget preparation
- Able to assist with end of financial year reporting
- Assist with audits, including liaising with auditors
- Previous knowledge and experience in completing grant acquittals
- Ability to be flexible and assist in a wide range of projects across various business units.
- Proven ability of exception communication skills across multiple platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality issues;
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in work priorities, styles and environment;
- A friendly, positive attitude, with a willingness to learn
- Ability to live the values of the organisation and make a positive contribution to building a great culture
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working With Vulnerable People Card with no preclusions
