AddressWe are looking for a dedicated Accounting and Taxation Intern to support our team in various Accounting and tax-related tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. The ideal candidate will have completed the H&R Block tax course and possess a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with tax preparation for individuals and businesses
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Utilize accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed
- Handle incoming calls from clients and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
- Liaise with the ATO regarding tax-related inquiries and documentation
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients and regulatory authorities
- Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and deadlines
Requirements:
- Completion of the H&R Block tax course
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Multilanguage proficiency preferred, especially English, Hindi, and Malayalam
