Role Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant who will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities crucial to their operations. From daily reconciliations to monthly reporting and annual budgeting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of the business.
Working as part of a small close-knit team, you will be responsible for:
- Performing reconciliations of transactions from various systems and bank accounts
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Managing the weekly payroll process
- Processing supplier payments
- Monitoring capital expenditures and assist with cash handling duties as required
- Preparing and posting monthly journals, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Planning and executing monthly stocktaking activities for beverages, spa products, and retail stock
- Assisting with forecasting, budgeting, and compliance activities such as BAS and superannuation payments
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
