Job Opportunity: Accounting Officer - Contributions
Position Type: Temporary Full Time (up to 4 months)
Location: Oran Park -NSW

About the Role:

As the Accounting Officer you will primarily be responsible for maintaining the organisation's Section 7.11 Developer Contributions registers and providing assistance to customers and internal staff regarding Section 7.11 calculations.
Additionally, you will play a role in corporate reporting improvements and provide support to the management accounting team concerning the Annual Budget and Long Term Financial Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Section 7.11 Developer Contributions registers.
• Provide assistance to customers and internal staff on Section 7.11 calculations.
• Contribute to corporate reporting improvements.
• Support the management accounting team with Annual Budget and Long Term Financial Plan tasks.

Essential Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications (or commenced) in an accounting/finance related discipline.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in applying accounting policies and procedures.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills (including reconciliation skills).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert knowledge and application of Microsoft Office products (particularly financial spreadsheets).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Section 7.11 developer contributions accounting procedures.
• Experience with Civica Authority application and Budget Software.

Desired Outcomes:

• Compliance with WHS requirements and Covid-19 Safety Plans, including a recommendation for COVID-19 vaccination.
