Lifest HealthCare (LHC) based in Springwood, is a registered NDIS provider, working closely with participants, families, and other stakeholders to offer unique, personalised health and support care to people with disabilities.
Purpose of the role:
The role of Accounts and Administration Assistant is integral to the smooth running of the Lifest’s Office and Accounts Department. This is an eight-month (full-time) contract with the view to become full time in the near future and will report to and work closely with our Accounts Executive assisting with the accounts functions of the business. This role will also be responsible for general reception, administration tasks, some staff onboarding tasks and the rostering of support staff. The role will also be required to provide assistance to the management team as required.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Accounts
- Bank reconciliations of multiple bank accounts in Xero
- Accounts payable duties including accurate entry of supplier invoices and creation of fortnightly Accounts Payable batch payments
- Accounts receivable including raising invoices
- Follow-up of outstanding debtors
- Assist with fortnightly payroll process (i.e. review of timesheets and staff reimbursements etc)
- Record keeping & data entry
- Assist Accounts Executive with other tasks as directed
Office administration
- Answer the phone, handle enquiries and greet office visitors
- Data entry & e-filing
- Keep the office neat & tidy
- Order office supplies & catering as needed
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new staff as needed
- Assist with Rostering and creating rosters for support staff in line with participant care requirements
- Other ad-hoc duties as directed
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least two years’ experience in a similar role
- Have previous experience working with Xero (highly desirable), payroll (highly regarded) and Microsoft Office suite
- A qualification in accounting or bookkeeping advantageous but not essential
- Be highly organised with strong a focus on attention to detail, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be tech savvy and can quickly adapt to new technologies
- Be reliable, honest with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
