Accounts Assistant

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity to join The Good Grocer's Finance Team as Accounts Assistant.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to work within the Finance Team and assist senior Team Members in providing financial, administrative, and data entry support to the organisation by processing, verifying, reconciling month end journals and tasks. 

We are looking for that special someone with an “Of Course Attitude”, a strong customer focus and communication skills.

The position is a permanent full-time positionworking Monday to Friday office hours based out of our stunning Good Grocer Support Office in Applecross.

Skills Required

• Certificate IV Accounting & Bookkeeping is prefered.
• Minimum three years of experience as an Accounts Assistant or bookkeeper.
• Good knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, and Outlook).
• An understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily sales data from our stores.
• Assist in reconciling bank accounts.
• Assist in accounts receivable.
• Assist in collecting data for the fixed assest registers.
• Assist the team in generating weekly reports, with monthly journals, tasks and balance sheet reconciliaitons.
• Manage intercompany journals.
