The Australian Dental Association Queensland Branch (ADAQ) is the peak professional membership body for dentists in Queensland. Almost 90% of dentists in Queensland choose to be ADAQ members.
ADAQ’s mission is to support our member dentists through advocacy and the provision of member services, and to promote oral health for all Queenslanders.
This role is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in providing a range of high-quality services to all ADAQ teams with a focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, therefore supporting the achievement of ADAQ’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Initial point of contact for all transactional Accounts related inquiries.
- Monitor shared Accounts inbox and action emails as required.
- Process and enter supplier invoices into ADAQ’s Accounting Software (Netsuite) and process weekly payment run.
- Assisting the Finance Manger to run all financial procedures within ADAQ’s CRM (iMIS), import into Netsuite and reconcile between the two systems.
- Monitor outstanding and overdue receivables and follow up for payment.
- Perform daily bank reconciliation.
- Process refunds, reimbursements and other ad-hoc payments.
- Assist Finance Manager with Month End Reconciliations and processes.
- Assist with Audit processes.
- Maintain filing systems, databases, and procedures.

- Ability to pick-up new systems and processes quickly
- Strong numerical aptitude with a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a solution orientated approach
- Ability to work autonomously and in a flexible and cooperative team environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, prioritise workload and deliver outputs within specified timeframes.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office
- Completed year 12 or equivalent.
- Studying towards a qualification in accounting or business
