Long established Law Firm seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper (Part Time).
The successful applicant will be responsible to the principal for managing the firm’s general and trust accounts, payroll, and compliance obligations.
We seek a highly organized, motivated, energetic person with a professional presentation.
The position initially is expected to be for three days per week from 9.00am to 5:00pm (negotiable).
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Trust Accounting
- Data Entry using MYOB
- Payroll
- Estate Distribution
- Invoicing
- Debt recovery and management
- Weekly and monthly financial reporting
- Reconciliation of trust and practice accounts
- Filing
- Resolving client enquiries
- Administrative tasks as otherwise directed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable is essential.
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping preferred.
- Experience in Legal Trust Accounting is desirable.
- Experience in MYOB cloud-based system preferred.
- Experience using current Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Team player qualities with a friendly disposition and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Experience using legal software advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
Professionalism, confidentiality, and a teamwork approach will all be assumed qualities.
