Sublime Air Conditioning is a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation in need of a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team. We specialize in the manufacture and installation of ductwork into the construction industry, and our commitment to excellence has earned us a strong reputation in the market. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented individual to support our finance department in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm

Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts Officer to assist with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong analytical skills, and have a keen eye for detail. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the financial success of our company

Objectives (job specific): 

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice Liaising with the external accountant
• Process weekly payroll
• Reconcile financial statements and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review.
• Monitor and maintain financial documentation and records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Contribute to process improvements and implementation of best practices within the finance department.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proven experience working as an Accounts Officer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
