Neil Perry’s Margaret (Double Bay, NSW) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Officer. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a knack for numbers, enjoys the restaurant industry and is keen to be involved with how restaurants run from the accounts side of the business.
As an Accounts Officer, you will be involved with the full scope of day-to-day account keeping and payroll for our venue/s. Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Payroll processing and related reporting
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Full accounts payable function inc. processing weekly and monthly EFTs
- Maintaining accounting system
- Accounts reporting to management
- Building relationships with the restaurant/s managers
- Liaising with our suppliers regarding accounts
- Working closely with the accounting team to provide support and cross coverage
- Ad hoc administration duties
With two new venues scheduled to open later this year, we are looking for someone who will work well under pressure, can adapt easily to change and be a supportive team player within our tight knit but growing Head Office Team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous accounting experience in a similar role, and an understanding of the restaurant industry, hospitality experience will be highly regarded.
- great communication skills, excellent attention to detail and enjoy working within a team environment.
- a positive can-do attitude, ability to communicate with all employees and departments within the company - including Directors, Managers, Head Office, Accounts and Restaurant Staff
- a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- previous experience in accounting, payroll and time & attendance packages will be highly regarded. We are willing to train the successful candidate in the company’s chosen software (Xero & Deputy)
All Candidates must also possess a strong understanding of the English Language and must be able to communicate easily, with a broad range of internal and external contacts.
This position is full time, Monday to Friday, working at our Head Office in Double Bay, Sydney. All candidates must hold current long term, full-time working rights within Australia.
