We specialise in design / construct with in-house REVIT architects team, in-house civil engineering team and strong in-house construction team comprising of accounts, contract administrators, procurement managers, and project management team. We manage jobs throughout Australia from initial design, through construction, interior fit-out, installation of final chattels and final commissioning ready for turn-key delivery.
Our office is about a 15-20 minute walk Southland Train Station / Southland Shopping Centre, with free, all day on-street parking.
Job Description Summary
Croft Developments are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Officer to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner in our construction division based in Cheltenham.
Responsibilities
- Perform invoice and general ledger data entry into JONAS
- Bank account reconciliation
- Ensure Data is verified directly with suppliers
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables including retentions
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
- Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
- Clarify any questionable invoice items and prices
- Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
- File invoices once paid
- Send remittance advices via email to suppliers.
- Other tasks as requested by your manager.
Preferred skills and experience
- Prior experience in a similar Accounts Payable position preferably in Construction
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Jonas or similar ERP system is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
To be considered for this Role you must have:
- Have a minimum 3-4 years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator
- Degree Qualified or relevant site background
- Proven successful management and delivery of commercial construction projects
- The ability to work alone to self-imposed deadlines but also work as part of the team
- Positive, proactive, passionate and eager to learn and succeed.
- Exposure to commercial projects up to $20m is essential
