AddressWe are seeking a suitably experienced Finance Officer - Accounts Payable to join our College Finance team on a Fixed-Term Full-Time Contract until July 2025
This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the College. Their role is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
The days and hours of work are Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain creditor database
- Maintain, monitor and respond to Accounts Payable related email correspondence
- Enter creditor invoices
- Process payment of creditors
- Enter and process credit card payments
- Reconciliation of staff credit cards
- Reconciliation of creditor statements
- Process DLP claims
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding the financial data and information of the College
- Monthly reports as required for Finance report preparation
- Assistance with general finance tasks
- Duties as required and directed by the Business Manager, Assistant Business Manager and Finance Manager
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable function
- General financial knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with Synergetic and Alii (Advantageous)
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
- Can adapt quickly to change and prioritise workload
- Interpersonal skills to relate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to excellence in customer service
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Commitment to occupational health and safety
- An understanding of and commitment to Catholic education
