Accounts Payable (Part-Time)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced part-time Accounts Payable to come on board and join our vibrant finance team.  Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, you will be managing supplier accounts and completing full function Accounts Payable duties. This role will have you dealing with a variety of vendors and you will need to bring your good communication abilities, processing skills and be prepared to make a difference.

The ideal candidate should be highly driven, high energy, focused results individual that can influence others.

Responsibilities

• Apply operational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time;
• Attend to Accounts Payable queries promptly and professionally, escalating any unknown issues appropriately;
• Work cooperatively with the finance team and for the business to meet operational and team objectives;
• Prepare payment batches as required on a weekly and monthly basis to meet required payment terms;
• Prepare supplier reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure completeness and integrity of payment batches;
• Assist with preparation of stocktake reports;
• Other general accounting duties as assigned by line manager
• Maintains compliance with company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
• Maintenance of Accounts Payable records in the Accounting system as well as electronic filing and physical filing;
• Assist with analysis of accounts;
• Assist with month end and year end closing;

The Successful Applicant

• At least 3 years of experience in large volume Accounts Payable.
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
• Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
• Proficient in data entry and management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Highly motivated and organized.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
• Demonstrated success working collaboratively to achieve team goals.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
