Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, with demonstrated proficiency in both Accounts Payable and payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll regulations, and relevant legislation.
- Experience using accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and payroll systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive payroll information.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Capability to work fast and dynamically.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor account maintenance, and payment accuracy.
- Process payroll transactions accurately, including wage calculations, deductions, and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist with payroll-related reporting.
- Support month-end close processes and assist with reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for both Accounts Payable and payroll.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
