Accounts Payable

MARS is collaborating with a prestigious Law firm located in the Sydney CBD. They're currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join the team on a permanent basis. This presents a fantastic opportunity for professional growth and development within a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.

The Accounts Payable Officer is primarily tasked with entering accounting information into the general ledger, creditor's ledger, and trust ledger.

The Responsibilities:

• Handling transactions across multiple Trust bank accounts, including receipts, interest, and trust payments.
• Processing transactions for investment accounts, such as opening term deposits, tracking transactions in the ledger, and monitoring investment maturities.
• Conducting bank account reconciliations for accuracy.
• Managing the input of invoices and disbursement payments.
• Reconciling vendor statements and addressing vendor inquiries promptly.
• Providing support to Partners and Personal Assistants regarding accounting queries.

The Requirements:

• Preferably, 2-3 years' experience in a similar position (Legal experience preferred).
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Aderant Expert (advantage).

• Flexible WFH - 1 days from home per week.
• Easily accessible via public transport.
