ASG are looking for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to join our friendly Head Office Team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a Finance role but also values being part of the broader operational Teams within a business. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can work independently and take financial ownership of our expanding Hydraulics department, as well as be responsible for the Groups payroll processing and administration.
The role will include, but not be limited to:
- General accounts duties across accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- End to end processing of fortnightly payroll and superannuation.
- Efficient and prompt processing of invoices and payment runs.
- Bank account and credit card reconciliations.
- Coordinating stocktaking and stock ordering activities.
- Supporting system and process improvement initiatives.
- Data entry and ongoing maintenance of customer files and records.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other. irregularities; Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and accessible files.
- Investigating and resolving customer queries.
- Proactively liaising with site supervisors, employees and suppliers to ensure the Hydraulics department is meeting its goals and customer commitments.

WHO YOU ARE
- Preferably have qualifications or experience in accounting with a proven track record.
- Exceptional computer literacy – sound knowledge in MS Office software.
- Knowledge of MYOB is preferred however not essential.
- Highly motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse data and identify underlying issues.
- You're self-motivated, with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously whilst being a team player.
- You're an organised, multitasker and able to prioritise with high volume workloads.
