We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Officer to join our dynamic finance team. As a Accounts Officer you will play a crucial role in managing the company's credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payment from customers while maintaining positive relationships and minimizing credit risk.
The Role:
- Monitor and manage the company's Accounts Receivable portfolio, ensuring timely payment from clients.
- Conduct credit assessments on new and existing customers to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Review and analyse customer credit limits, setting appropriate terms and conditions.
- Proactively contact customers to resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding balances.
- Issue invoices and statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to billing schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact information and payment history.
- Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to resolve customer queries and disputes.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on outstanding debts, payment trends, and credit exposure.
- Proven work experience within Credit Control or Accounts Receivable
- Experience working in General Insurance
- Strong knowledge of credit control principles, practices, and relevant legislation.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
