The Opportunity:
Due to organisation growth, we are currently seeking a talented and results-driven Accounts Receivable Officer/Property Administrator to be the lead for AR & Administration at the asset.
You will be based at a busy shopping centre in Melbourne's North.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices for tenant rent, utilities, and charges.
- Record and apply tenant payments to the correct accounts promptly.
- Monitor tenant accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies or overdue balances.
- Provide Accounts Receivable support and perform monthly reconciliations for accuracy.
- Communicate with tenants about account statuses and implement collections strategies for overdue accounts.
- Prepare and type various correspondence, including memos and monthly minutes.
- Attend team meetings and distribute minutes if required, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate proactively with the team to enhance processes and ensure compliance with REMS policies.
- Proficiently manage leasing administration, financial processes, and maintain accurate data across all properties.
- Coordinate client meetings, handle financial tasks such as invoicing and debt management, and administer facilities and retail-related functions.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience in the Shopping Centre industry, ideally as a Shopping Administration Manager, Accounts Receivable Specialist, Property Administrator, or Administration Assistant.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters and work to deadlines.
- Proficient (intermediate) in using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain focused on specific tasks.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate at all levels, building effective and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
