Job description
About KAYAK:
KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG), is the world's leading travel search engine. With billions of queries across our platforms, we help people find their perfect flight, stay, rental car, cruise, or vacation package. We're also transforming the in-travel experience with our app and new accommodation software.
As an employee of KAYAK, join a global network that includes OpenTable and KAYAK's portfolio of metasearch brands including Swoodoo, checkfelix, momondo, Cheapflights, Mundi and HotelsCombined. Many employees are dedicated to one brand, but we all have the benefit of using each others strengths and insights. Together, we're able to help people experience the world through dining and travel.
The Position:
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join us in Sydney as part of the APAC Finance Team. While the role is predominately accounts receivable, this role will support the greater APAC Finance function. We're seeking someone who is accurate and timely in their data entry, who has a positive and professional demeanour towards work and problem solving.
Our Finance team enjoy working together and with our cross-functional colleagues around the world. We value integrity, personal accountability and proactive thinking, and we take pride in mentorship and in crafting opportunities for professional growth and advancement. We are a group of highly motivated individuals who love numbers as much as the story behind the numbers. We are hard-working, but we also know how to have fun.
In this role, you will:
Manage daily Accounts Receivable data entry and allocation of receipts (across multiple currencies and payment methods).
Liaise and assist our Offshore Support Team.
Reconciliation of Customer Accounts as needed.
Review of Accounts Receivable Aged Debt and Unapplied Funds.
Assist with month end, bank account reconciliations and weekly cash management reporting.
Assist the Accounting Team as required.
Vendor Management.
Please apply if:
Minimum of 2 years experience in accounts, preferably in accounts receivable.
Experience with foreign currency transactions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and hardworking with a positive demeanour.
Ability to work optimally autonomously, as well as within a team.
Benefits:
Work from (almost) anywhere; wherever you do your best work.
Mental Health Well-being: 6 company paid therapy sessions, subscription to a meditation app, wellbeing speaker series and resources.
Annual Health and Wellness Reimbursement.
1 floating day off per year to celebrate your birthday or another occasion of choice!
Company-wide time off each year: the whole team recharges (and returns without a pile-up of work!).
Paid volunteer time.
Monthly catered office events.
Learning and Development opportunities.
Universal Paid Parental leave.
Diversity and Inclusion:
We aspire to have a workplace that reflects all of the communities we serve. We know that when we have diverse teams we produce more creative ideas, products, and better outcomes. KAYAK is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we encourage candidates from all backgrounds and experiences to apply for roles. Whoever you are, just be yourself.
We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform job responsibilities, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.
