Summary:
We are a young, fast growing organisation with offices in QLD & NT, we operate within the Disability & Child Protection Sector. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our team in our Fortitude Valley Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. For the right candidate, school hours can be negotiated.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment inquiries
- Perform other accounting tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
