The Opportunity
- Use your strong coordinating and prioritising skills to contribute to research across three key animal facilities
- Work closely with colleagues, managers and a dedicated team of professionals to effectively manage information transfer and projects
- Help make a difference in the unique environment at the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness
Your duties will include:
- Aiding in streamlining the Animal Ethics Committee / ACDP Research Team / AEC process by establishing and maintaining database for the three facilities
- Leading the end to end process, track the status of the application
- Developing online training, tracking progress and ensuring skills are current within AST
- Keeping records and facilitating additional training opportunities
- Reviewing current structure and process across 3 facilities and developing templates for consistency of processes
- Managing all enquiries for AST and ensuring proper allocation of person to project costs and tracking progress
- Reviewing final costings (with AST Group Leader)) prior to responding to a stakeholder
Salary: AU$105k - AU$114k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:
- Relevant trade certificate/diploma/bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience in science with relevant experience in Animal Studies coordination
- Prior knowledge and understanding of QA process; working with QACU/QA/QPulse to streamline and publish QA SOP's for GLP studies / ISO 9001 accreditation.
- Prior experience in Animal management database implementation and ongoing support (is desirable)
- Prior knowledge in working within Animal Facilities and performing training in procedures (is desirable)
