The Role
The Activities Manager is responsible for the property's activities function, including guests transfers and activities, education and training of tour guides and localised marketing initiatives. The role requires a high level of communication with all resort Departments, whilst maintaining a high standard of guest services and customer relations in line with Discovery Parks standards.
The Activities Manager will lead the activities team to meet guest expectations whilst also meeting financial targets and operational standards.
Skills & Experience
- Previous Experience as an Activities Manager
- Highly organised in planning daily logistics of arriving guests/ outgoing guests and tours
- Experience leading a team including rostering and financials
- Commitment to a high level of guest experience
- Experience with Newbook / RMS / Micros POS/ Microsoft Suite
- Event Planning and Coordination Skill
- Resort and hospitality industry knowledge
- Ability to effectively delegate work and manage quality outcomes
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Effective decision making and communication
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Tourism/Hospitality Management
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Full Open Drivers license/Manual
- Licence to drive with Fare paying guests
- Heavy Rig(HR) licence (preferable)
- 4 wheel drive experience essential

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at Lake Argyle. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time.
