Job Summary:
An excellent opportunity to work within the Finance and Admin team. The role operates under specific directions given by the manager / supervisor and undertakes duties in accordance with the set administrative practices and procedures.
About the role
Salary: $ 66,298 pa - $ 72,077 pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading.
Position Type: Ongoing Full-Time role available
Location: Silverwater Correctional Complex
The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Manager and team through administrative processes and activities such as general administration, executive support, finance, purchasing, stores and records maintenance for the effective operation of the work area.
Key accountabilities
Provide administrative support to the Management Team and staff on a range of issues including organising meetings and preparing agenda items and minutes, establishing and maintaining office systems, event coordination and general administrative assistance.
Act as a point of contact performing reception services including telephone / switchboard and/or counter enquiries from staff and clients and provide a timely and effective information and referral service.
Maintain manual and electronic records pertaining to the work area, accurately and securely ensuring these are accessible.
Respond efficiently to all inquiries by stakeholders, customers and clients, escalating and referring, if necessary to the relevant areas in accordance with the local practice and protocol.
Participate in the proceedings of meetings and provide executive support and follow up on actions as necessary, whilst keeping all participants and stakeholders informed.
Undertake accurate and consistent work within a high volume environment.
Adapting to frequent changes to workload and processes.
Essential requirements
Proven experience in administrative capacity
Current NSW driver’s license and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
Proven experience in computers and business software such as EDRMS, Microsoft Office and Excel spread sheets
It is an essential requirement of the role that successful applicants provide proof they have had the approved COVID-19 vaccine
