Administration Assistant and Bookkeeper

Part-time 23 hours per week (three days)

Gilgandra Preschool is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to this position.  We are a community based Preschool, open five days per week from 8.00am to 3.30pm.

The Administration Assistant will be responsible to the Preschool Director for overall administration tasks including the areas of finance, maintain our budget, enrolments, fees, payroll, customer service and general day to day clerical support.

Essential requirements 

  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills including MYOB and Microsoft office.
  • Sound IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft.
  • Experience in business administrative tasks including bookkeeping, payroll, data entry and general office duties. 
  • Experience in financial operations including budgeting, payment of invoices and accounts.
  • High level of efficiency with exceptional time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in quality customer service.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Ability to take and follow directives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Willing to learn new systems in line with our operational requirements.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal hours to represent the Preschool. 

Desirable requirements

  • Administrative experience within the Childcare industry.
  • Have a current Working with Children’s Check (must be willing to obtain one)
  • First aid qualifications.
