About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Assets Coordinator, the focus of this position is to:
- Provide efficient of administrative assistanceand customer service support to internal and external customers and clients of the Building Services team
- Work efficiently within different modules of OneCouncil, following processes and procedures to ensure work requests are responded to in a timely and efficient manner
- Organise meetings and appointments, including agenda development, minute taking and resources.
- Ensure accounts payable tasks are actioned in an accurate and timely manner and resolve discrepancies using problem solving skills with both internal and external clients.
- Ensure verbal and written information provided to customers is correct, factual, timely and in accordance with relevant Council Guidelines and Policies.
- Respond to grievances and handle difficult customers ensuring that customer complaints are dealt with promptly and in accordance with Council’s policies.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
- Certificate IV in Office Administration or equivalent, or equivalent experience in Administration Assistant, accounts payable and customer service role
- Demonstrated effective time management and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of software and applications, i.e Microsoft products.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
