About The Role
The Area Administration Assistant role is a dynamic one where you will be supporting our Bayside region on a daily basis. The Area Administration Assistant is instrumental in supporting all staff in the area by providing administration and secretarial support and takes day to day direction and task allocation from the Area Manager and the Administration Manager.
Tasks and duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Welcome guests to the office
- Answering telephones
- Ensure office is clean and all supplies are stocked
- Maintenance of office equipment and supplies
- General filing, scanning, printing, and photocopying
- Data entry including record and file management
- Balancing petty cash
- Liaise with contractors, staff and suppliers
- Manage the meeting room, issue meeting invitations and prepare for meetings
- Prepare and distribute minutes for Area/Team and other meetings as required
- Purchase refreshments as required i.e., coffee, tea, and milk
- Submitting accommodation and travel requests using the FCSS portal
- Monitor the FCSS Facebook and other IT/Social Media content and report breaches.
- Ensure the office is signed and resourced to comply with COVID advice and actively encourage all employees and visitors to comply with Social Distancing, Hygiene and Capacity guidelines as required
- Assist the Area Manager as required
- Work alongside the Administration Office Team across the 4 regions

You will need the following
- QLD P2 or Open driver's licence
- Hold a minimum Certificate III or higher in Business Administration or similar discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Administration role
- Current QLD Blue Card or willingness to obtain
- Ability to complete short courses to be able to work within QLD child protection (this will be supported by us)
- Current Licenced Care Service (LCS) check through The Department; or willingness to obtain (this will be supported by us)
