About Bundaberg Private Day Hospital:

Bundaberg Private Day Hospital is a purpose-built day surgery with excellent facilities, specialising in Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Plastics, Vascular and General surgery. Our hospital has two operating theatres, a procedure room and a PACU.  

Bundaberg Private Day Hospital is part of the Nexus Hospitals group. Nexus employs over 1600 talented and passionate people across 27 hospitals, as well as 3 support offices.

About the role:

Resulting from the implementation of operationally efficiencies we have a new full-time opportunity for an innovative and results driven individual to lead our hospital administration team in a fast paced, patient focused, rewarding environment. Are you an experience Office Manager, is looking for their next challenge, loves to be busy and is passionate about leading others. Working collaboratively with the General Manager/ Director of Nursing this role will lead the hospitals dynamic Administrative team. 

This role will see you working with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs, deliver exceptional administrative outcomes. 

This a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administration leader who would like to grow with additional responsibilities, who will bring a positive and supportive influence to our new administration team.

About you:

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. 

You will have:  

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to work closely with clinical leads and healthcare providers
  • Previous experience in a short-stay, day surgery or hospital environment
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and leading others to build and develop your team to achieve targets
  • Experience in developing and implementing procedures to achieve efficiencies and quality outcomes
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office package) as well as working with Patient Administration Software (preferably SimDay or similar)
  • Knowledge of health fund contracting system and the Private Health Care System with sound knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team environment
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Have strong problem solving and conflict management skills 
  • Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills with passion for the patient experience
