Job Description
Currently we have a great opportunity available for an experienced Administration Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. The scope of the role includes leadership of some departments of our clinic including reception, patient Finance, administration, Genetics & Donor Services and the new Patient Co-ordinator as well as providing general 2IC support to the Clinic Manager as required.
This role will see you take on a range of duties including:
- Provide leadership and direction to all direct reports in the various functions of your team. Developing and encouraging positive and supportive working relationships within the various functions of your team structure.
- Ensure employees have clearly defined and measurable objectives, and standards of performance, that align with the Genea’s overall strategy.
- Manage the processes and functions of your reports, individually and collectively. Monitor team activity to ensure an equitable workload within each team and addressing needs in consultation with your fellow Team Leaders and the Clinic Manager as appropriate.
- Ensure patient care across all functions within your team is delivered to the highest possible standard and that we remain at the forefront of patient service delivery.
- Manage day-to-day staffing levels, including rostering and approval of all leave requests and time sheets, with an understanding of the current business needs and service levels during peak times. Work with the Clinic Manager to ensure staffing levels across your team are appropriate.
- Assist, support and actively participate in all organisational change initiatives.
- Foster a culture in which all activities and behaviors align with Genea’s values and best practice principles, whereby employees are empowered to act and are accountable.
- Ensure regular communication of operational and business performance with your team. Ensure that internal company relationships are further strengthened through the promotion of interdepartmental interaction
- Human resource management including (but not limited to) recruitment of your direct reports, specific orientation, training, on-going and regular performance review, performance management as required, and regular coaching and mentoring
- Addressing patient incidents/issues promptly in consultation with the functional managers and Clinic Manager as required.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced Administration Manager for this role, someone who has worked in a healthcare setting. Key to your sucess will be;
- Strong Leadership, management, and motivational skills.
- Sound and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Decision making competence.
- Ability to devise and review systems for operational efficiency.
- Sound understanding of Medicare and health fund billing.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and education.
