The Role
The hands-on leadership role of our Administration Manager is to facilitate high-quality patient-centered experience at our reputable private hospital. You will oversee all administrative operational aspects of hospital services including admission, theatre booking, coding, billing and collections. You will be accountable for admin staff performance management, coaching and development, service delivery and growth, staff engagement, engagement of our Specialists and their support staff.
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and CEO who is passionate about mentoring the individual to grow further in the role and our hospital.
Key Accountabilities
- Own the Patient Administration System and train the admin and clinical teams on the optimal use of our programs.
- Development and Integration of administration systems and processes to support strategic outcomes for our hospital.
- Workforce planning and rostering to achieve hospital objectives.
- Oversee hospital administration function in areas such as Front Reception, Pre-admissions, Theatre & Endoscopy admissions, discharge of patients.
- Financial consent management including private health funding eligibility, patient accounts, billings, preparation of estimates, and debtor's collection.
- Manage rosters, staffing and supervision of staff, assist Executive Leadership with ongoing staff development including appraisals.
- Perform process review and ongoing change management where required.
- Assist hospital executive in maximising team performance through achieving team & hospital KPIs.
- Handle enquiries and resolve complaints.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records.
- Manage correspondence and conduct reports.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcare industry preferably in private hospital.
- Qualification (or currently undertaking) in leadership or management is desirable.
- Experience in managing and leading a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- Experience in implementing new technologies to improve administrative processes and efficiencies.
- Excellent financial and resource management capabilities.
- A great communicator with relatable interpersonal skills.
- Desire to lead and mentor highly engaged administrative team.
