Address Use your medical typing skills to transcribe electronic and handwritten medical reports into the laboratory information system in a proficient manner to meet reporting deadlines. This will include all medical typing and registration, including participating in the state-wide typing pool.

Organisational skills and the ability to use initiative, delegate and be adaptable when performing or administering tasks in a constantly changing and dynamic environment.
Proven ability to establish, manage and maintain office systems and databases. High level skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, to accurately complete and prioritize work and to be flexible and dynamic in a highly client focused environment.
Sound knowledge of medical terminology and experience in medical typing.
Demonstrated knowledge of private pathology billing practices and their Health Insurance Commission compliances is desirable.

Experience in medical typing and a sound knowledge of medical terminology are highly desirable.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements
It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.
Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be required for this position.
