Job Opportunity
As the Administration Assistant for Cane Supply & Transport (CS&T), your role will involve providing essential administrative support to the CS&T team. You'll also serve as the primary administrative point of contact between growers, harvester contractors, and Wilmar Sugar. You will play a key role in delivering a welcoming and professional reception and administrative service for Burdekin CS&T. This includes effectively managing communication channels such as telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient administrative procedures to support harvesting and cane payment systems.
- Record and manage data from meetings, including statistics.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in harvesting and grower systems.
- Manage travel and accommodation requests for CS&T personnel.
- Coordinate meeting bookings, room reservations, and catering arrangements.
- Support CS&T in conducting investigations, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Manage and maintain Burdekin Grower and HarvsterWeb websites, ensuring accurate information flow and assisting stakeholders with inquiries.
- Prepare and distribute reports to BKN Cane Supply Manager and Cane Grower Collectives within specified timelines.
- Handle administrative tasks related to land tenure, cane railway easement, and legal arrangements.
- Organize and participate in Harvest Management Group Meetings, documenting and disseminating meeting minutes promptly.
The Successful Applicant
As the successful candidate for this position you will possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification, along with proficiency in the use of SAP software and MS suite of applications. You should have a minimum of 2 years of recent administration experience, demonstrating strong relationship-building and customer service skills. It's essential that you exhibit a working knowledge and application of Workplace Health and Safety Acts, Regulations, and Codes of Practice. While not mandatory, experience in the sugar industry and familiarity with supply contract administration would be advantageous.
