Position: Administration Officer - Records Management
Hourly Rate: $31.92 - $33.28 per hour pending experience
Hours: 15 hours per week
Tenure: 12 month fixed term contract
Commencing Date: As soon as practicable

supports a diverse region extending from Townsville to the Burdekin and Whitsunday regions in the South, North to Ingham and Halifax, South-West to Winton, and West to the border with the Northern Territory, encompassing Mount Isa and several small, isolated western towns and east to Palm Island.
About the role
Townsville Catholic Education Office is currently seeking an experienced Administration Officer - Records Management to support the digitisation and storage of TCEO records.
Working across a range of locations including TCE schools, TCE office and the Diocesan Archives facility, the Administration Officer - Records Management is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day attainment of TCE Records Management outcomes by providing quality, accurate administrative competency in records digitisation and storage.
This is a fixed-term position for 15 hours per week through until December 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and store records (both electronic and hardcopy) in an accurate, timely, confidential manner.
- Collate and prepare records for in-house or offsite digitisation.
- Digitise records under the supervision of Records Management staff, in accordance with the TCE digitisation guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain spreadsheets and other records relating to the digitisation and management of records.
- Where required, support the retrieval and management of electronic and physical records.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage deadlines and workloads to ensure outcomes are achieved within expected timeframes.
- Experience and proficiency in the use of Google and Microsoft Office Suites.
- Demonstrated experience with the provision of administrative support.
- Knowledge of office procedures and practices with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
- Ability to solve problems and contribute to process improvement.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships.
- Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
- Previous experience in the Education sector would be considered advantageous
