The Speech Pathology Department are looking for an Administration Officer to join their team. The Speech Pathology Department specialises in the assessment and treatment of adults with acquired disorders of communication and swallowing associated with brain and spinal injury, stroke, neurosurgery, head and neck cancer, degenerative diseases and aging. The role is part time for 12 months, based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

About the Role
- Ensure prospective patients have been placed on a respective waiting list, booked within the time frame indicated and maintain this list by ensuring accurate and complete additions, amendments, ongoing verification and appropriate delegations.
- Respond to general customer inquiries over the phone, email and in person and assist staff and clients in the work unit as requested.
- Register patient data onto relevant electronic databases and ensure patient data is updated in a timely manner.
- Book in, book out, cancel and / or re-book outpatients and clinics on outpatient system. Ensuring transportation and follow up appointments are arranged.
- Organise and coordinate patients appointment activities, including the arrival of patients, booking appointments, management of cancellation/rescheduling of clinics, management of clinic waiting lists and coordinating appointments with other services.
