EPEC Education is a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation (RTO), with a focus on providing quality training to the early childhood, education and care industries. We have two offices located in Toowoomba and Gold Coast. The advertised position is located in our Gold Coast office, at beautiful Mermaid Beach – close to coffee shops and beautiful beaches. The position will require two weeks on the job training at the Toowoomba office. After that period, the position will then be full time in the Mermaid Beach office. Travel is not required as part of this role other than the initial training.

About the role

This is a permanent full-time position that will form an integral part of our team. It will provide administration support to all stakeholders including the CEO, team members, students, and business clients. 

What duties does the role include?

  • Attending to customer enquiries, mainly via phone and email

 

  • Using your strong attention to detail to complete product sale orders, troubleshoot customer issues, and complete daily administrative tasks

 

  • Supporting the onboarding process with the student support team, and advising students and clients with training products

 

  • Data entry, providing reports, and system maintenance.

 

  • Assist in processing competency results and information for students in the student management system.

 

 

  • Finalise student enrolments and assist with validating and issuing of Statement of Attainment and Qualification Certificates.

 

  • Administer training plans, placement documents and other materials to students as required.

 

  • Take incoming student enquiries and make recommendations based on students’ goals and needs. 

 

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing support to learners including credit transfer and RPL applications, work placement support, support with applications for extensions & deferrals, reasonable adjustments, course transfers, cancellations & withdrawals.

 

About You

You will be a passionate and enthusiastic communicator, with strong time management and prioritisation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and high literacy are a MUST! You enjoy working hard and contributing to the ongoing success of the business. You will possess the following skills:

  • Outstanding written skills, including excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve, with a solution-focus in a dynamic and fast changing environment
  • Exhibit flexibility, enthusiasm, passion, and commitment to the role
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite and other standard software to an experienced level 
  • Strong computer literacy, with the ability to learn and navigate new programs quickly and effectively 
  • Professional presentation 
  • Collaborative mindset and ideas driven, using your own knowledge and experiences to contribute to the team
  • Ideas driven person – always suggesting new things to make our students even happier or to find efficiencies in your work
  • Excellent customer service with focus on client engagement and retention
  • Exceptional time management with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and prioritise tasks

 

Desirable, but not necessary:

  • Previous experience in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  • Experience with the operations of an RTO, including the allocation of RPL processes and credit transfers
  • Experience with Website, Webinar and Short Course development and systems
  • Experience in Xero

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.

Previous administration experience within a training or RTO environment is desirable although not necessary. This role would suit someone with a background in administration and customer service with proficiency in online administration systems.
